Maintenance Tech - West Palm Beach

POSITION SUMMARY:

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (May include some or all of the following as applicable) 

General Building Maintenance Requirements:

  1.       Plumbing - rudimentary system knowledge
  2.       Electrical - basic knowledge of electricity                               
  3.       Mechanical - general maintenance knowledge
  4.       Woodworking - simple wood handling skills and knowledge
  5.       Air Conditioning - change air filters and clean screens
  6.       Painting / Drywall - basic proficiency      
  7.       Handyman
  8.       Able to use various powered and non-powered tools
  9. .     Read and follow instructions, write required responses
  10.       Work in confined spaces
  11.       Climb ladders
  12.       Work out of hi-reach boom and scissor lifts
  13.       Work well with co-workers
  14.       Communicate effectively in person & on portable walkie-talkie
  15.       Positive, can-do attitude

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:  

Education: High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.

Experience: A minimum of three to five years’ experience as a Maintenance Tech required

Language requirements: Multiple language fluency may be preferred or required, depending on Property.

Travel and availability requirements: May be required to travel for training sessions off-site on an as needed basis.  May be occasionally required to cover for other Maintenance techs at other properties within a reasonable commuting distance when needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions: Work will be divided between indoor and outdoor work.  The proportion of indoor to outdoor work will fluctuate.  May be exposed to weather conditions such as heat or rain while working outdoors.
